Books Boys and Revenge eBook Louise Cypress

When fifteen-year-old Kayla Dexter "gets dumped" by her best friend since third grade, she reinvents herself using books, boys, and revenge.
Kayla is intense, sincere, and sincerely intense. She's thrilled to be starting tenth grade at La Jolla Prep Academy, even though she doesn't have nearly as much money as her classmates. Thankfully, Kayla's best friend Amanda Swenson helps her blend in.
But when Kayla unintentionally offends new girl Victoria Lancer, she discovers just how mean high school girls can be. Kayla's rise to YouTube stardom happens in the worst possible way. The cruelest part is that Amanda sides with Victoria.
Kayla's circumstances change for the better when she dates Logan Robinson, a junior who brings an instant group of friends with him. But a disastrous night at Winter Formal helps Kayla discover something important the only hero she needs is herself.
So with her diary in one hand and a pocket recording device in the other, Kayla captures all of the moments that matter. Victoria better watch out! Kayla's line between justice and revenge is thin. When La Jolla Prep Academy hears what's on Kayla's computer, everyone will take notice... including Amanda.

This was a great story with great characters. It was so good to see that the bullies didn't get away with it. The one thing I hated about high school was those who thought and acted lime they were better than everyone. Mean girls are the worst. I'm so glad to see a victim stand up for herself and others. I'm so glad you showed the readers that she not only cope well, but thrived.Product details

Books Boys and Revenge eBook Louise Cypress Reviews
The writing was sophomoric and juvenile in the worst way. Luckily, real teenagers are smarter and stronger than any of the girls in this book. Also, recording someone without their knowledge isn’t actually “standing up for yourself.” It’s a passive and legally questionable act, at best. At no point does the protagonist actually stand up for herself. My two cents are ignore the cute title and book cover, and find a book that isn’t a complete waste of time.
Happy Book Birthday to this book by @louisecypress I received this E book ARC for review by the author and I have to say that I enjoyed it greatly and here's why it brought me back to my early days of middle school and high school trying to figure out how girl friendship really worked and how to watch what you say because you never know when it could come back to bite you later. Another aspect I enjoyed was that the main character was more thoughtful about certain aspects of life and was more mature than some of the others like admitting she was wrong etc. In fact after reading this book I wanted to hang out with my friends even more than before because I feel that I can be myself in front of them so this book is for all ages not just YA. So I give this book 4 1/2 to 5 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟⭐-🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 because of these positive aspects I would take off half a star for pace and typos but overall enjoyed this book you can pick it up on today!!! Thank you so much @louisecypress for the opportunity to read your book before it is published and it was absolutely what i needed to read currently ) so I recommend recommend it!
I received Books, Boys, and Revenge from the author to submit a review.
As a 26 year old, this book was a bit below what I would want to read. With that being said, my inner tween enjoyed it quite a lot. The story is your usual teenage girl drama, but it was written in a way that made me want to keep reading to see what would happen to Kayla and her friends as well as her frenimies. I really enjoyed that Louise Cypress wrote as you were reading Kayla's diary. It added a personal touch to it that made Kayla more likable to me as a reader.
Overall, this is a delightful book, and I'd definitely recommend it to my teenage cousins.
This was fantastic. I love that the main character was real instead of being super saintly and unbelievable. Well done.
I loved this book! It's lead female character was strong and stood up for what was right. She didn't need a boyfriend to define her! I didn't want to put it down, I just wanted to keep reading and find out what happened next! It has a great ending! I would love to read more books by Louise Cypress!
This was such a cute read!!! I felt it was a realistic representation of how teenagers can be today!! I recommend it!
This was for a younger YA readers. It did touch on some good subject plots that are going on in high school. Overall it is a good read.
