I Do Love Stories Elizabeth Chandler Books
I couldn't remember how many times I've read this book. My passion for writing fiction wouldn't be the same without Elizabeth Chandler. She's my idol. I've always admired her works ever since I was in high school, and this book is my favorite among all her works. It tells the story of Jane, a sportswriter for the paper, and lacrosse varsity team player Adam, who didn't get along very well until they suddenly became involved with Jane's cousin and Adam's stepbrother's wedding. Jane is a very lovable character. She is independent, witty and unafraid to do and say things that she wants. Adam is very mysterious. He's the perfect jock who is unaware of the attention he gets from his admirers. I also love that he's a jock who can write. The sub-plot on Jane's cousin, Stacy, is also so good. That way, the book is not focused on Jane and Adam's story. I will keep on re-reading it until I get old.Tags : Amazon.com: I Do (Love Stories) (9780553492750): Elizabeth Chandler: Books,Elizabeth Chandler,I Do (Love Stories),Bantam Books for Young Readers,0553492756,Romance - General,Dating (Social customs);Fiction.,Weddings;Fiction,Weddings;Fiction.,Children: Young Adult (Gr. 7-9),Dating (Social customs),Fiction,Juvenile Fiction Love & Romance,Romance & relationships stories (Children'sYA),Weddings,YOUNG ADULT FICTION
I Do Love Stories Elizabeth Chandler Books Reviews
This book is one of my favourites too... I bought it in 2000 and I still pick it up every now and again, it makes me laugh, smile and dream every time. It's so good even after all these years the story between Jane and Adam still captivates me. Elizabeth Chandler created two characters that make you wanna feel that click beteen hate and love that just makes your toes curl. )
This is one of the better Love Stories books. The characters are well-developed, including the minor characters. There is a wonderful little subplot going on with Grizzly and Stacy. The first time I read this, I thought the characters were in college, not in high school. So if you're a little older and want something that isn't quite so corny, this is a good pick.
hey, well i loved this book. it is one of my all time fav's elizabeth is a great writer. (hint before u read on i can't spell)
Adam an Jane are complete enemies. or at least they thought they were. now Jane is haveing trouble deciding wether she is mad at him or loves him. All she can think about is how he held that other girl in his hands (feelin a little jealous) but... well u'll just have to read it for urself
I Do is my absolute favorite Love Stories book.
Jane and Adam are worst enemies. Adam is the school's star lacrosse player. And Jane, who is the school's top sports reporter, is his harshest critic. Unfortunately it turns out they are going to be in Jane's cousin and Adam's step-brother's wedding as the maid of honor and the best man. As they get thrown together in hilarious situation after situation they inevitabley get to know each other better and start to fall in love...
OMG! This book is the best. Can anyone say soulmates? I love the way Adam and Jane were just absolutely perfect for each other. If they were real people you know this would be a relationship that would last. Make sure to read Chandler's other books.
This book tells a story of a girl(Jane Hardy)whose a reporter for her schools newspaper. She interviews the players of the lacross team. The team captian(Adam Logan)gets annoyed when he sees Jane's review of him. She writes these topics of how hes not playing up to his level. Jane thinks he is a total loser. Fate comes through the door. Jane's cousin, Stacey, is engaged with Adams stepbrother, Travis. This gives the chance for Jane and adam to get along with each other. They compromise and become friends, real close friends. They have deep feelings for each other but they don't want to talk about it. Things happen that make them fight but it gets solved. At the end, Stacey doesn't marry Travis but she runs to Grizzly(lacross coach). Jane goes home not looking like a bride from the magazine anymore.(Jane was the maid of honor and Adam was the best man.) Jane plays basketball and something funny happens and Adam laughs. She never realized that he was there. They finally tell each other about their feelings for each other. A kiss was brought and also a happy ending.
I hope that by my review, it will make you want to read this book. I promise that if you read this book, you would want to read it all over again.
I first read this YA romance back in 1999 as a 14 year old. I remembered loving it. So almost two decades later I ordered it and it was just as sweet as I remember.
Let's just say after I read this book, I had to lie down and let the feels wash over me. I couldn't put it down, I loved it so much. And that last line!!!! What a winner. I also loved the storyline of Stacy and Grizzly. But Adam and Jane. Sigh. I liked Josh too. I guess you can tell I am a fan, Elizabeth Chandler. You are awesome. Too too awesome.
